When a doctor diagnoses an individual with cancer there is only one word that grabs their attention. They are not concerned with possible treatments or understanding what is taking place in their bodies. Cancer research is the furthest thing from their minds. They want to know the bottom line. Am I going to live and for how long?
It is after the initial shock sets in that people start demanding answers. There are many questions that come to their mind. Some of them have answers while other’s can only be answered by a higher power. Yet, there are cancer research institutes and organizations that are there to answer you questions.
The American Cancer Society is an organization offers a number of services to those faced with cancer. In order to help those afflicted with cancer they offer community programs, education and information, and cancer research.
The American Institute for Cancer Research is especially devoted to providing individuals with the information on food and nutrition to prevent cancer before it starts.
